Implementing sustainable transportation concepts for the Government of India
The Government of India has initiated the Sustainable Urban Transport Project with the Ministry of Urban Development as the nodal agency, and supported by the Global Environment Facility, 世界银行, 和联合国开发计划署. The project aims to enhance the capacity of local governments to implement sustainable transportation concepts within the country, and includes the preparation of guidance documents for developing TOD, NMT, PBS计划. 六个, city-specific plans were also prepared to test the applicability of these guidelines at the local level.
